All Church Conference

This Conference is part of our Weekend with Wes, and all are welcome to come together for a day of teaching, worship, activities and food!

Coffee cart from 8am

Conference runs from 9am – 1:30pm
Dr. Wes will be our keynote speaker for two sessions in the morning, speaking on sexuality, friendship and identity – the tensions we experience as we try and live according to God’s will as sexual beings. He will also touch on the issues of same-sex attraction, sexual identity and how we as individual Christians might respond and act, as well as discussing the idea of friendship.

This is a topic that is complex and for each of us it relates to something deeply personal and intimate. In our wider society it is also a topic that is polarising and there are very few opportunities where it is safe to dialogue about it, especially with those of differing opinions. Our hope is that this conference would facilitate some of those rare opportunities to talk about intimate relationships and feel safe enough to have a conversation that leads us towards maturity, compassion and clarity.

During the main sessions, there will be children’s activities with a circus skills program, craft activities, games and movies.

Evening prayer and praise 7pm – 9:30pm
After taking a break in the middle of the day, the conference will reconvene with a session of prayer and praise, during which, Wes will share his personal testimony about living as a same-sex attracted Christian.
