The HOPE FOR BOROONDARA AND BEYOND FOOD DRIVE is a program in which Churches of Boroondara unite to provide hope to those struggling in our communities. Food collected supports agencies that provide emergency relief (Anglicare Mission House, CamCare and Salvation Army Camberwell). The food goes to help people who are in need.

In 2017 we collected enough food to help over 6000 individuals and families in need. This year we hope to raise even more. Agencies are struggling to keep up with the demand of helping those facing hardship, and need our support more than ever.

On Sunday 6th of May, 14 churches across Boroondara, including all our congregations across the St Hilary’s Network, are partnering together to run a food collection campaign.

How To Get Involved:

  • Volunteer – we need a large number of people to drop off Hope Grocery Bags to allocated areas one week prior (anytime Sunday 29th April to Wednesday 2nd May 2018), and then return on Sunday May 6th to collect donated goods. Email us at hope@sthils.com before Sunday April 16th to sign up.
  • Donate Goods – if you receive a blue bag at your doorstep, we would be most appreciative if you are able to contribute something.
Even if you haven’t received a bag, you are welcome to drop off goods directly to St Hilary’s Anglican Church, 12 John St, Kew any time up until Friday May 5th during business hours or during church service times (see contact details page for service times)
  • All food and funds  go to the following agencies to provide emergency relief for people in need:

Anglicare Mission House
CamCare
Salvation Army Camberwell
