Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings. I’m writing to let you know that Reverend Nat Clarke has decided to finish up in his role as Site Coordinating Minister at St Augustine’s Mont Albert North. Nat has been in this role since mid 2014. This is Nat’s decision and comes after much prayer and consideration. Prior to joining our team Nat had a vision to plant an independent church using the SOMA model of mission and community (http://www.somaaustralia.org.au). He has decided that his original conviction has not gone away and is now seeking to pursue that.
I want to thank Nat for his contribution to the St Hilary’s Network and wish he and Annie and their children well as they pursue this more independent pathway. They have been given on going use of the Vicarage until the end of 2017.
I want to thank Nat for his work in faithfully leading the 9.30am congregation and the Friday Bible Study. His faithful pastoral ministry has been a blessing to many. Nat launched the 4pm Congregation and many have grown significantly due to his teaching and ministry. Nat has taken good care of the St Augustine’s Site and in 2016 oversaw a major maintenance upgrade.
Nat’s last Sunday at St Augustine’s will be Sunday 30th July.
I am negotiating the appointment of a locum priest at St Augustine’s on Sunday mornings. In the interim, Network Ministers will lead a Prayer and Bible Study at 4pm, while we talk together about what the future looks like. In an overall sense we will aim to look to a fresh staff appointment for the Site after appropriate consultation. Rachel Lynar will continue on staff as the Children’s and Families Minister.
Please pray for Nat and Annie and the family at this time of transition. Pray too for the people who attend at St Augustine’s as we work together in seeking God’s guidance for the future.
