Seasons: Experience Life in Rural Nepal
An immersive simulation from the International Nepal Fellowship (INF)
As part of our commitment to mission and empathising with the poor, we are partnering with INF to host ‘Seasons’ a powerful and immersive event that transports you to a remote village in Western Nepal.
Join us on Friday October 10th 6:30PM at our North Balwyn Site and step into the lives of some of the world’s poorest peoples. Through role-play and real-world decision-making, you and your family (real or simulated!) will work together to overcome challenges created by food insecurity, sickness and disease, reckon with the impact of environmental change, and strive to build community resilience.
The event is a fantastic opportunity for our whole community to come together and explore issues of poverty, empathy, marginalisation and injustice in a structured and meaningful way.
You could come as:
Together, you’ll form a family and navigate poverty, climate pressures, and marginalisation, making tough choices about crops and livelihoods, whilst working to mitigate the risks posed by each season. Throughout the course of the evening, you’ll gain insight into the dynamics of power and survival in one of the world’s most vulnerable regions.
Reflect. Empathise. Engage.
Don’t miss this chance to reflect, connect, and deepen your understanding of global justice, the strength in community and empathy for the poor.
