A chance to spend some unstructured relaxing time with friends and family across generations

Cormorant is a property that St Hilary's manages on the edge of the Gippsland Lakes, near Paynesville in East Gippsland. The St Hilary’s Cormorant Summer Camp this year will run from 27 December 2024 until 5 January 2025. You are welcome to come for all or just some days.

Our suggested daily donation this year is $40 per day for adults and high-schoolers, $27 per day for primary schoolers and kids younger than that are free. If you have 3+ kids in school, only pay for the first two! This includes food and accommodation site - BYO tent/caravan.

Power-boat rides are a bit extra at $9 a biscuit ride/ski (and do require the signing of an indemnity form).

Cormorant by the Lakes is a campsite owned by the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne and managed under an agreement by St Hilary’s. It is located on the Banksia Peninsula, in the heart of the Gippsland lakes, 300 km East of Melbourne. Each Summer campers head there for the post-Christmas / New Year break.  Camping amenities include powered sites, toilet, shower and laundry facilities as well as a gathering space and kitchen. Activities include waterskiing, wakeboarding and biscuit rides. The all-age camp is followed by a youth camp in early January.
