The Book of Ruth: From Bitterness to Joy

The book of Ruth explores the interplay between God’s providence (that is His divine love and care for His people) and human will and endeavour. God is scarcely mentioned, but instead clearly seen weaving the lives of faithful human beings into His purposes for all of creation. Chiefly His desire to restore the lives of his people individually, corporately and eternally.
